FWP Updates Info On Big Hole River Brown Trout Fungus

Last week, the FWP released an update to last October’s┬áSaprolignia fungus outbreak affecting brown trout in the Big Hole River. Their findings indicate that the high number of affected trout was a reflection of a record abundance of the trout themselves. The number of brown trout in the Big Hole last year was found to be 1870 per mile, while the long-term average is 960 per mile.
