Montana Fly Fishing Magazine is a free digital magazine. We’re devoted to bringing you the diverse and expansive world of fly fishing in the great state of Montana.

Once a quarter (or thereabouts), we deliver a collection of strong articles and photography focused on the magnificent fish species, rivers, people, and landscapes that have established Montana as one of the finest fly-fishing locales in the country, if not the world.

Montana Fly Fishing Magazine was established in 2012 by Greg Lewis and Aaron Welles. After a five-year hiatus, starting in 2018, it has been revived by Outside Media Group, publishers of Outside Bozeman Magazine and the Cast Fishing Guide.

Some of the older issues embedded on this website are displayed using our former digital-edition service, Yumpu, which is sort of a YouTube for digital magazines. Yumpu uses HTML5 and is best viewed on the latest versions of Safari or Chrome web browsers.
